KVS Foundation Day: 30 Teachers Receive ‘National Incentive Award’

New Delhi: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS)  celebrated its foundation day on Sunday here, with 30 teachers receiving ‘national incentive award’ and nine getting the ‘innovation & experimentation award’.

KVS selects its outstanding teachers every year for these awards. This year winners were awarded a cash prize of Rs 20,000, a shawl and a certificate of appreciation. A one minute film on the works of all award winners was also screened on this occasion, said a statement issued by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development. KVS Commissioner Santosh Kumar Mall graced the occasion.

Addressing the gathering at the occasion, the commissioner said KVS has achieved heights almost in every field over the years and should put all efforts to sustain the achievements.

All senior officials of KVS (HQ) were present during the programme including Joint Commissioners Shachi Kant, V. Vijayalakshmi, E. Prabhakar and Deputy Commissioner Piya Thakur.
