Madhya Pradesh Joins Hand With IIT Delhi For Water Conservation

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government has entered into an agreement with IIT Delhi for water conservation and improving sustainable sources.

The agreement will enable technical and research related cooperation for the next two years, reports said.

“Details have also been discussed on sharing of research and knowledge on better implementation of drinking water schemes,” Principal Secretary of the Madhya Pradesh Public Relations Department Sanjay Kumar Shukla was quoted as saying.

The State government, however, is eager to work with the premier institute through a long term agreement for developing a research ecosystem which in the long run helps the people to tied over the water crisis.

Madhya Pradesh has been witness to acute water crisis in recent years. The problem is even more acute in rural areas where people have to walk miles to fetch water.
