Mumbai: Teachers and students, who are a part of online education, are getting a Diwali ‘gift’ in the form of Diwali vacation in Maharashtra.
State Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad told reporters on Wednesday, “A final decision to this effect will be taken soon.”
Gaikwad also added that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is taking views of the state advocate general and other authorities concerned regarding reopening of standard XI classes.
“The delay in (physical reopening of class 11 lectures) is due to judicial process but online classes of the standard is getting good response,” Times Now quoted Gaikwad as saying.
According to the minister, the education department is focusing on the overall development of students using modern technology.
