Bhubaneswar: Governor and Chancellor of Universities Raghubar Das has appointed Manash Ranjan Sahoo as Vice-Chancellor of Odisha University of Health Sciences (OUHS), Bhubaneswar.
Sahoo, who is the Head of Department of General Surgery, AIIMS-Bhubaneswar, has been appointed to the VC post for a period of four years “from the date on which he enters upon office or till he attains the age of seventy years”, a release issued by the Governor’s office said on Monday.
Sahoo has done fellowship in surgical gastroenterology from SRCMCRI, Chennai, after completing post graduation in surgery. He has teaching experience of more than 26 years and 6 years in professor and equivalent post. He also has administrative experience as professor and Head of the Department of General Surgery in AIIMS-Bhubaneswar and as Chairman of its Medical Board, the release added.
