New Delhi: Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia emphasised on developing an entrepreneurial mindset as opposed to just celebrating high salary packages in multinational corporations. He said this during his virtual address to students at the third convocation ceremony of the Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) on Monday, December 28.
“Most of the talent nurtured in our universities are used by large, multinational companies. But now it’s opportune time for our students to work towards building such companies. To utilise our talent for our nation’s progress, it is imperative that our students develop an entrepreneurial mindset. We should celebrate high salary packages, but we should also celebrate when our students build companies and provide jobs to many,” Sisodia was quoted as saying in his address by ABP Education.
The Delhi education minister also lauded the IGDTUW’s contribution to providing quality education and nurturing the talent of female students. He expressed his joy over 200 women pursuing their PhDs at the university.
IGDTUW chancellor Anil Baijal was also in attendance along with University Grants Commission chairman Professor DP Singh as the chief guest.
