MCC Adds 614 seats In Second Round NEET UG Counselling 2024, Check The Details Here
6,947 virtual vacancies have been announced for the second round of admissions to MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing programmes
HYDERABAD: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has added 614 seats for the second round of NEET UG 2024 counselling.
The details of the additional seats have been uploaded to the official MCC website: mcc.nic.in/ug-medical-counselling.
Seven NEET UG seats have been added in five medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh, while seven seats in four colleges in Maharashtra. As many as 600 seats have been added in eight colleges in Telangana. While the seats in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra are open to all genders, 50% of the seats in Telangana are reserved for women.
Meanwhile, 6,947 virtual vacancies have been announced for the second round of admissions to MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing programmes. These virtual seats have been added in colleges in West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Tripura, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Punjab, Puducherry, Odisha, Nagaland, Manipur, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Delhi (NCT), Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Chhattisgarh, Chandigarh, Bihar, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

New deemed to be universities
On September 7, the MCC of DGHS announced that four universities had been accorded ‘Deemed to be University’ status by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
In accordance with the Supreme Court’s directions in W.P (C) No. 267/2017, “Dar-Us-Slam Educational Trust and Ors. Vs. Medical Council of India & Ors.,” the seats from the following colleges are now included in the seat matrix for second round of UG Counselling 2024, in the larger interest of candidates.
The medical institutions in Hyderabad that offer various seats includes Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences (200 seats), Malla Reddy Medical College for Women (200 seats), Malla Reddy Institute of Dental Sciences (100 seats), and Malla Reddy Dental College for Women (100 seats).
