MCC Issues Revised Bulletin For NEET PG Counselling 2024, Check The Details  

The DGHS will conduct the counselling for Priorities 3, 4, and 5 candidates for admission to Armed Forces Medical Services Postgraduate Teaching Institutes

HYDERABAD: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released a revised information bulletin for the NEET PG 2024 counselling process. It includes updates related to the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) counselling and eligibility criteria.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will conduct the counselling process for candidates categorised under Priorities 3, 4, and 5 for admission to Armed Forces Medical Services Postgraduate Teaching Institutes, said the bulletin.

The Directorate General of Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS) will provide MCC with a list of eligible Priority 3 and 4 candidates after reviewing their applications.

Candidates in Priority 5 list will be counselled based on their merit and seat availability, and provisional seat allotments will be made accordingly.

A medical examination for these candidates will be held at the institute where they are provisionally assigned.

Eligibility criteria for AFMC

Graduates from medical colleges recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC) can take admissions for the postgraduate courses at Armed Forces Medical Services institutions.

Candidates must be registered as medical practitioners with a state medical council recognised by the NMC.

All applicants, except for those in Priority 2, must be Indian citizens. Eligibility for candidates in Priority 3 and 4 lists will be determined by the Directorate General of Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS).

For Priority 5 candidates, the maximum age limit is 30 years as of December 31, 2024.

Choice filling window

Meanwhile, the MCC will open the choice-filling window for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 on November 8.

Candidates who have registered for the counselling process and wish to select their preferences can do so on the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in.

The window for choice filling will remain open until November 17, 2024.
