HYDERABAD: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the tentative schedule for the counselling of National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Under Graduate (NEET-UG) 2024 on its website.

The registration process for NEET UG counselling for the MBBS, BDS and BSc (nursing) programmes is scheduled to begin on August 14 and the last date, as per the notification, is August 20.
The counselling will be conducted in four rounds.
Round 1
The registration process will begin on August 14 and conclude on August 21. The choice filling and locking facility will be available from August 16. The last date will be August 20.
Seat will be allotted between August 21 and 22 and results will be declared on August 23.
The candidates need to report or join between August 24 and 29. The verification process of candidates will be done between August 30 and 31.
Round 2
The second round of the registration process will be done between September 4 and 5.
The seat allotment and verification will be held from September 11 to 12.
Candidates with allotted seats will be permitted to join or report by September 14 to 20.
Round 3
The registration process will be done from September 26 to October 2.
The choice filling facility will be available from September 27 to October 2 while the locking facility will be available on October 2. Seat will be allotted on October 5.
The candidates need to report or join between October 6 to 12.
Round 4
The registration process for online stray vacancy round will be done from October 16 to 20.
The choice filling facility will be available from October 17 to 20, while the locking facility will be available on October 20. Seat will be allotted on October 23.
Registration for the NEET UG counselling needs be done on the MCC website: https://mcc.nic.in/
The counselling will be held for around 1.10 lakh MBBS seats in 710 medical colleges across India.
The counselling will also be held for 21,000 BDS seats, AYUSH and nursing.
The NEET UG counselling will be held for 15% seats of the all India quota along with 100% seats of Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University, Jamia Millia Islamia and ESIC Dental College and Hospital.
With the number of medical colleges in the country increasing to 731, there has been 118% increase in the MBBS seats.
