New Delhi: MG Motor India and IIMPACT, an NGO for girl education, have joined hands to launch an e-learning initiative, ‘IIMPACT-ech Studio: e-Siksha, Ek Nayi Disha’ on Tuesday.

The initiative aims at preparing and educating the underprivileged girls during the coronavirus pandemic.

As part of the plan, MG Motors will deploy e-learning solutions across 15 IIMPACT Learning Centres in five cities in the country.

Since the launch of MG Motor in India, it has been collaborating with IIMPACT for uplifting education of socially and economically marginalized girls in the country.

President and Managing Director, MG Motors India, Rajeev Chaba has said that due to the lack of digital devices, it was not possible for social and economically marginalized students to study from home, according to a Times of India report.

Meanwhile, Executive Director, IIMPACT, Shubhangi Sharma said, “The partnership is aimed at imparting quality education to girls between the ages of 6  and 14 years. It will support the education needs of out of school, irregular, or dropped out girls dwelling within these regions.”

MG Motor India will be helping in developing content, create and disseminate Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs) and impart training via its technology to improve the quality of education.
