Ministry Issues Guidelines To Help Out-Of-School Migrant Children

New Delhi: In a bid to counter the challenges faced by out-of-school children due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Education has issued guidelines for identification, admission and continued education of those migrant children.

This is aimed at preventing increased dropouts, lower enrolments, loss of learning and deterioration in the gains made in providing universal access, quality and equity in the recent years, according to a PIB Delhi release.

Here are the Guidelines:

  1. Continued Education for Out of School Children (OoSC) and Children with Special Needs (CWSN)
  2. Identifying Out of School Children
  3. Enrolment Drives and Awareness Generation
  4. Student Support while Schools are closed
  5. Student Support on School Reopening
  6. Teacher Capacity Building
