More than 5,500 Engineering Seats Filled In Last Round Of Admissions In Andhra Pradesh

Students have been instructed to report to the colleges allotted to them by August 30, 2024

HYDERABAD: Convener of Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (AP EAPCET)- 2024 G. Ganesh Kumar has said that 5,707 vacant seats in the engineering colleges have been filled in the third and final round of admissions.

The selected students should report to their allotted colleges by August 30, 2024. However, the classes at the engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh began on July 19, Mr. Ganesh Kumar, who is also the Director of Technical Education, said in a statement to the media.

He said of the total 7,074 seats available under the convener quota in the engineering colleges affiliated to 24 universities in Andhra Pradesh, 5,920 seats have been filled.

Of the total 1,24,491 seats available in 215 private colleges, 1,02,669 have been filled, while 7,744 of the 7,950 seats available in the nine private universities in the State have been filled.

After the third and final round of counselling, 1,16,333 of the total 1,39,488 vacant seats available in 248 colleges in Andhra Pradesh, have been filled, while 23,155 seats remained vacant, the statement quoted Mr. Ganesh Kumar saying.

As per the AP EAMCET or AP EAPCET third and last counselling schedule, fee payment and registration for certificate verification were done between August 19, 2024 and August 21, 2024. Certificate verification was done until August 22, 2024. Candidates were allowed to change their options on August 23, 2024.

The third round of AP EAMCET counselling was done for the candidates who passed the AP Inter/CBSE/ICSE/NIOS/APSOS board exam with more than 44.5% marks (more than 39.5% for BC/SC/ST categories) in mathematics, physics and chemistry taken together.
