Bhopal: Madhu Arya, the daughter of a roadside shoe-seller made her parents proud when she secured the third rank in the Science stream of Class XII Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education Board (MPBSE) exam.
Scoring a whopping 97 percent in her exams, Arya credited her hard work and dedication for such a result. “I’ve worked hard. I used to wake up at 4 am and studied for 8-10 hours every day,” an ANI tweet quoted her as saying.

Arya is now preparing for the medical entrance exam. She made an appeal to the government to help her in the pursuit of her dreams. “I want to be a doctor. I am preparing for NEET. My parents and the entire family is very happy. I appeal to the government to support me in my higher education because my father can’t afford it,” Arya added.
“We provided for her education with great difficulty but she worked hard. We’re very happy,” said Arya’s mother talking about the hardships they all had to undergo.
The MPBSE had announced the Class XII result on Monday. The overall pass percentage for this year is 68.81 percent. Girls outperformed the boys and the top three positions have been secured by girls.
Khushi Singh from Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh topped the Class XII board exams this year by scoring 486 marks out of 500. Meanwhile, Madhulata Silawat stood at the second position and Nikita Patidar secured at the third. Over 8.5 lakh students had appeared for the Arts, Commerce, and Science stream exams, held from March 2-31, 2020, reported ABP news.
