Need More Time To Compile Class X Results: Delhi Govt To CBSE

New Delhi: The Delhi Government has asked the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for more time to compile the Class X board results. It wrote to CBSE to review the timeline as many teachers are involved in COVID-19 duties and schools are being used as vaccination centres. To add to it, the national capital is in lockdown till May 10, the letter stated.

“Keeping in view the ongoing situation, including its emotional ramifications, enforcement of lockdown and deployment of teachers for various duties, the competent authority of CBSE is requested to kindly review the Time Schedule… regarding Policy for Tabulation of Marks for Class X Board Exams 2021,” the Delhi government said, India Today reported quoting PTI.

CBSE had recently announced that schools will have to submit the marks for Class X students by June 11 so that the results can be declared by June 10.

On April 14, CBSE cancelled the Class X board exams and postponed the Class XII board exams, scheduled to be held in May due to rising COVID-19 cases.
