NEET 2020: Women Fare Better; ST Category Pass Percentage Increases

New Delhi: The NEET 2020 results that were announced on Friday witnessed almost similar pass percentages, but the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category pass percentage was increased by nearly 2 per cent.

While the total pass percentage is at 56.44 in 2020 compared to 56.5 per cent last year, the students under ST category tasted a success rate of 42.07 per cent (40.91 per cent in 2019).

However, female candidates fared better than male candidates with a pass percentage of 57.14 (57.11 per cent in 2019). Men’s pass percentage is 55.58 (55.73 per cent in 2019).

Of the total 7,71,500 aspirants, 6,18,075 were male with 3,43,556 qualifying while out of the 7,48,866 female candidates who appeared, 4,27,943 qualified. While 59.20 per cent students who applied under the OBC category were successful, 51.83 per cent of the SC candidates passed the medical exam.
