New Delhi: After lowering the cut off for NEET-PG by 6 per cent for 2019-20 academic year, the Government has now decided to lower the cut off scores for admission to undergraduate BDS programme by 10 per cent.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued a notification announcing the lowering of cut off scores, NDTV has reported.
The revised cut-offs:
- General category 40 per cent
- SC/ ST/ OBC categories 30 per cent
- Persons with locomotory disability of lower limbs 35 per cent.
The decision, the notification said, has been taken in consultation with the Dental Council of India.
“National Testing Agency (NTA) has been requested to bring out the revised result in accordance with the above-lowered qualifying percentiles for the academic session 2019-20,” NDTV added quoting the notification.
Meanwhile, The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released provisional results for the second round of NEET- 2019 mop-up counselling for admission in BDS courses in deemed and central Universities. Candidates can check their result at the official website of MCC.
