NEET-UG 2021: Candidates Move Supreme Court; Seek Cancellation, Re-Exam
New Delhi: Around 13 candidates of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test undergraduate (NEET-UG) moved the Supreme Court and sought cancellation of the test and a re-exam.
The candidates alleged instances of cheating, malpractices, impersonation, and paper leak in the recently-conducted entrance exam.
The petitioners have also sought directions from the top court for the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and the Director General of Police of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh to submit a fact-finding report before the top court within a week along with relevant documents and findings, reported Live Law.
NEET-UG 2021 was held on September 12.
However, the exam was followed by several controversy regarding allegations of paper leak and impersonation scams. According to PTI, the Jaipur Police had arrested a candidate for cheating in the exam and the invigilator for taking photos of the paper and sharing via WhatsApp.
