New Delhi: Several renowned educationists were present as the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) celebrated its 32nd Foundation Day on Tuesday, November 23. Former NCERT Director and NCTE Chairman, Prof. JS Rajput was the chief guest on the occasion.
Former NIOS Chairmen, Prof. M Mukhopadhyay, Prof. NK Ambasht, MC Pant, Dr Sitansu S Jena, Prof were the Guests of Honour at the event.
NIOS Chairperson Prof. Saroj Sharma, while speaking at the event, gave a welcome speech and congratulated and complimented the untiring efforts of the entire team of NIOS. She also disclosed that Tutor Marked Assignment to NIOS Virtual Open Schools has been launched which now is available online and on-app for Secondary, Senior Secondary, Vocational, and Indian Sign Language (ISL).
Chief Guest Prof. Rajput congratulated Chairperson Prof. Saroj Sharma recognising her consistent efforts for introducing innovations in NIOS.
The Chief Guest inaugurated the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav App’ at the event for the NIOS learners. Chairperson felicitated learner of Bhartiya Gyan Parampara of NIOS, Vaidehi Vyas for her wonderful achievements.
