HYDERABAD: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has extended the deadline for eligibility certificate applications to November 25, 2024, in a relief to the candidates who are facing technical issues during the earlier application window.
The NMC has extended the deadline for applying for Eligibility Certificates to November 25, 2024, until 6 pm. This extension was announced after representations from candidates who faced technical issues while submitting their applications before the previous deadline of November 4, 2024.
The NMC’s Ethics and Medical Registration Board (EMRB) emphasised that this opportunity aims to support applicants’ career prospects and address concerns raised.
Eligible candidates can now apply through the official NMC website at https://www.nmc.org.in/.
Why eligibility certificate is needed?
Candidates appearing for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) scheduled to be held on January 12, 2025, are mandatorily required to possess an Eligibility Certificate from the NMC to be eligible for the screening test.
The NMC highlighted that issuing Eligibility Certificates requires thorough checks to ensure compliance with current regulations, which may take time. Applicants are urged to be patient, avoid unnecessary visits to the NMC office, and regularly monitor their registered email IDs and the online portal for updates.
This extension offers candidates another chance to complete their applications and meet the requirements for the upcoming FMGE.
