NTA Extends NCET 2025 Application Deadline to March 31: Exam on April 29

Bhubaneswar: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline for submitting online applications for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2025 from March 16, 2025, to March 31, 2025.

This decision was made in response to multiple requests from students, institutions, and other stakeholders due to the ongoing CBSE and other board exams. The extension will give candidates additional time to complete their applications for the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) for the 2025-26 academic session.

The entrance exam will be conducted for admission to various central and state universities, including IITs, NITs, RIEs, and government colleges. With the extended deadline, candidates now have 15 extra days to complete their applications and meet all exam requirements.

How to Apply for NCET 2025:

  1. Visit the Official Website – Go to National Common Entrance Test
  2. Register – Create an account using your email and phone number.
  3. Fill Application Form – Enter personal, academic, and contact details.
  4. Upload Documents – Submit scanned copies of required documents.
  5. Pay Fee – Complete payment via credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI.
  6. Submit & Print – Review, submit the form, and print the confirmation.

NCET 2025 is scheduled for April 29, 2025, and will be conducted in computer-based test mode and will be held in 178 cities and 13 mediums across the country. 

However, the syllabus includes a General Test covering General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, and Environmental Literacy. The Teaching Aptitude section will focus on topics related to teaching Science, Arts, Mathematics, Performing Arts, and Languages.
