NTA NEET 2021: Know Exam Pattern Here

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will hold the national medical entrance exam NEET 2021 in a changed pattern on September 12.

The changes in the existing pattern have been made to bring uniformity in the exam structure and the current syllabus of Class XII students. It may be recalled that the syllabus was reduced to compensate for the academic loss of students during the COVID-19 pandemic.

NEET 2021 pattern explained

The NEET question paper would comprise two sections — Section A and Section B — for Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology subjects.

The Section A of each paper would have 35 questions carrying 4 marks each.

Section B would have 15 questions, of which 10 can be attempted by the candidates. Here also, each question will carry 4 marks.

In section B, candidates will have a choice of 5 additional questions to answer.

The NEET 2021 pattern is similar to the board exam question papers where internal choices are provided in each mark category.

A negative marking of 1 mark for an incorrect answer will be applied. The exam would be conducted in 11 regional languages, besides English and Hindi. Candidates opting for a regional language will be given a bilingual question booklet with selected regional language and English.
