NTA Releases Exam Calendar; JEE Main 2027 from January 22, UGC-NET from December 14  

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an tentative examination calendar for major examinations scheduled until March 2027.

The calendar includes the tentative schedule for major exams such as UGC NET (December Cycle), Joint CSIR-UGC NET (December Cycle), JEE (Main) Session 1 (January), All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination, Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), and Common University Entrance Test Postgraduate (CUET (PG).

The NTA has made it clear that the dates are tentative and may changes due to administrative, academic, statutory, logistical or other unforeseen circumstances.

The examination calendar indicates the tentative schedule and period of each examination so that prospective candidates, educational institutions, and other stakeholders can plan their academic and examination-related activities accordingly.

The December UGC-NET will be held from December 14 to 19, while the Joint CSIR-UGC NET is scheduled for December 20 and 21.

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2027 session 1 is proposed from January 22 to 24 and January 28 to 30. CUET PG 2027 is scheduled across multiple dates between March 1 and 25.

The UGC-NET December cycle will have two additional buffer days, December 20 and 21, while the JEE Main Session 1 calendar has January 31 as a buffer date. NTA has also scheduled the NIFT Entrance Examination for January 10 and the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination for January 31.

The NTA said it is committed to ensuring transparency, predictability, and convenience for candidates appearing for the examinations.

Candidates are advised to visit the NTA website and the respective examination portals in regular interval for the latest updates, including detailed information, application schedules, examination city intimation slips, admit cards, answer keys, and results.

The NTA stated that the calendar does not constitute a notification for any particular examination. Detailed Information Bulletins and examination-specific notices will be issued separately in due course, said an official notification.
