NTA Revises CUET UG 2025 Accountancy Paper Pattern

Candidates who have already appeared for the Accountancy paper will be allowed to either retain their exam or to re-appear in the revised question paper pattern, NTA says

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the question paper pattern of the accountancy test for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2025.

The revision in the question paper pattern is made to achieve convergence between the notified syllabus and the design of the question paper. CUET UG 2025, which started on May 13, is under way and will continue till June 3.

The accountancy paper will now include an option for the student to choose between questions from Unit 5 or an optional to Unit 5.

The rest of the question paper will cover content from Units 1 to 4 as per the notified syllabus. This revised question paper pattern will be implemented in the test slated from May 22, the NTA said in a notification.

To ensure fairness, the candidates who have appeared for the accountancy paper between May 13 and 16 will be allowed to either retain their examination or to re-appear in the revised question paper pattern, the NTA said, adding that it would provide this option to eligible candidates through its official website.

Candidates have been advised to keep visiting NTA websites — nta.ac.in and cuet.nta.nic.in for latest updates.

In case candidates face difficulty, they can contact dial 011-40759000 or send e-mail to cuet-ug@nta.ac.in.

Exam cancelled

Meanwhile, the NTA has cancelled the CUET UG exam held on May 13 (Shift II) and May 14 (Shift I and II) at Kite Polytechnic, Vawoosa, Rangreth, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, due to technical glitches.

The cancellation had affected more than 76 candidates. The exam dates for these candidates have not been announced yet, and new admit cards will be issued in due course, the NTA said.

This year, CUET UG is administered in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, covering 37 total subjects, including 13 language papers, 23 domain-specific subjects, and one General Aptitude Test.
