Bhubaneswar: The Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) and the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) have started preparing a blueprint for opening schools in accordance with the social distancing guidelines after lockdown 3.0.
To limit the number of students by 50 per cent, the schools will be asked to implement the odd-even formula. Students having odd and even roll numbers will then be allowed attend classes every alternate week. This will also help the teachers to have one-on-one interaction with each student while maintaining social distancing, official sources said.
To streamline homework or the studies of the students during the vacation, NCERT has also prepared a study manual.
As decided, NCERT will submit the study manual to the HRD Ministry which will take a final call after a thorough review, the sources added.
