Bhubaneswar: Putting all speculation regarding the annual Matriculation examination to rest, the Odisha government announced the dates of the crucial board examinations on Friday.
According to Odisha Chief Secretary Suresh Mohapatra, the matriculation or the high school certificate examination (HSC) will commence on April 29 and is set to conclude on May 6.
The students’ summative assessment-2 exam will be mandatory and the matriculation results will be announced on the basis of three-tier evaluation criteria finalised by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha.
Mohapatra said the state government has come up with multiple measures to provide relief to students keeping in view the impact of COVID-19 on the mental health of the children by coming up with an alternative assessment system.

Students to appear for one Subject exam in a day
Students to appear for the exam in their own schools
The board will adopt 3 types of evaluation methods for the publication of results
