Odisha Govt Allows Visually-Impaired Teachers To Take Online Classes From Home

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday allowed visually-impaired teachers to take online classes from their residence in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Government has been pleased to allow the visually impaired teachers to take online classes from their residence till resumption of normalcy in Covid-19 pandemic,” said the notification.

The visually impaired teachers are not required to visit the college premises to take online classes, the notification read further.

This decision is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate students of all colleges under the Higher Education Department.
