Bhubaneswar: The annual Matric and Plus II examinations in Odisha will be held offline (pen and paper mode), School and Mass Education minister Samir Ranjan Dash said on Thursday.
The minister said as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to conduct the board examinations in offline mode, the state government will do likewise for the Matric and Plus II examinations.
Dash also informed that the conduct of the examinations will be delayed because schools have remained closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The examinations will be conducted at least three months after the resumption of regular classes, he added.
Asked about the reopening of Classes IX to XII, he replied that talks are underway with all stakeholders and a decision will be taken very soon.
