Odisha Plus II Admission Begins Today; Know How To Apply

Applications can be submitted via online Common Application Form (CAF) starting 2 pm on May 24, says Directorate of Higher Secondary Education

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced the admission schedule for Plus II courses in all higher secondary schools for the 2025-26 academic session.

Eligible students have to apply through the SAMS portal, https://www.samsodisha.gov.in/ for admission to Plus II Arts, Science, Commerce, Vocational Studies, and Upashastri programmes at schools affiliated with the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha, and Jagannath Sanskrit University in Puri.

Eligibility

Applicants must have passed the High School Certificate (HSC) Examination of the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha or its equivalent Boards

Important dates

Applications can be submitted via online Common Application Form (CAF) starting 2 pm on May 24, according to the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education.

The deadline for online applications is 11.45 pm on June 30.

The first merit list will be released at 11.45 am on July 7, with admissions taking place from July 8 to 14.
Classes are set to begin on July 24, it added.

Procedure

  • Applicants shall apply online by registering themselves on https://www.samsodisha.gov.in/
  • The applicants are advised to read the Common Prospectus (CP) carefully before filling the online Common Application Form (CAF).
  • Applicants must retain the print copy of CAF and payment receipt after successful submission of the CAF for future reference.
  • The CAF fee must be paid through online mode only (details available in CP)
  • All relevant original documents are to be verified at the selected Higher Secondary School during the time of admission only.

Any claim (Reservation/Weightage/Relaxation) must be supplemented with relevant documents

Application fees

Application fees for General Category is Rs. 200, for ST & SC Category is Rs. 100

There is no application fee for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) with a permanent disability certificate or a valid temporary disability certificate of 40% and above, as well as for transgender individuals and orphans.
