Odisha To Decide On Entrance Test For Plus II After Matric Exam Results
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is yet to take a decision on whether to conduct the entrance test for admission into Plus II streams for the ensuing academic session.
The School and Mass Education Ministerm Samir Ranjan Dash, told the media on Saturday that although his department has received a proposal in this regard, the government has not taken any decision in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The minister, however, added that the proposal will be considered following the announcement of the Matric exam results after June 30.
On the alternative evaluation methods adopted by the Board of Secondary Education for the announcement of the Matric exam results, Dash clarified that this is for the first time in the history that the Board has been forced to take such a decision as it had no other way.
He maintained that the alternative evaluation method will not affect any student Those not be satisfied with the marks awarded to them will be allowed to sit for the examination only after the improvement in the pandemic situation, he added.
