Bhubaneswar: The Odiapreneur 3.0 State‑Level Hackathon concluded successfully at IIT Bhubaneswar campus, bringing together 192 students from 101 schools across Odisha to present innovative solutions to pressing real‑world challenges.
Organised jointly by the state government’s Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE), UNICEF Odisha and IIT Bhubaneswar Research & Entrepreneurship Park, the initiative aimed to nurture creativity, problem‑solving and entrepreneurial spirit among young learners.
Winners
First Prize: Government Science HSS, Ayeba in Kendujhar. A team of students comprising Sradhanjali Swain, Swopnarani Sahoo, Ankita Malik, Monalisa Pradhan and RP Smruti Sahoo showcased the idea of “Hands‑Free Wheelchair Movement by Head Control”.
Second Prize: Kataka’s OAV, Gobindpur bagged the second spot with Rajashree Pradhan presenting “ACCI‑ID – Smart Emergency Response to Accident”.
Third Prize: Gajapati’s Govt. HSS, Serango. The winning student, Kristina Gamango, showcased “Road Safety and Accident Prevention – U‑Turn Safety System”.
Valedictory Ceremony
The closing ceremony was graced by senior dignitaries including Niyati Pattnaik, IAS, Director, DHSE; Sasmita Mali, Joint Director, DHSE; Sasmita Sahu, Joint Director, OSEPA; Ch. Vijaya Laxmi, Deputy Director, DHSE; Bamadev Acharya, Registrar, IIT Bhubaneswar; Amarendra Sahu, CEO, The Land Bank; Prasant Kumar Biswal, State Head, Odisha, JSW Foundation; and Soobhankara Pati, CEO, IIT Bhubaneswar Research & Entrepreneurship Park, alongside mentors, teachers and students.

The successful conclusion of Odiapreneur 3.0 marks another step towards fostering a culture of “Identify, Imagine, Innovate and Impact” among Odisha’s youth. The initiative seeks to inspire students to transform ideas into practical solutions and nurture the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs.
