OPSC IMO Recruitment 2021: Apply Here For 85 Vacancies

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released the notification for  Insurance Medical Officer (IMO) Recruitment 2021. The commission is recruiting for a total of 85 vacancies for the post of IMO in Group-A (Junior Branch) of Odisha Employees’ State Insurance Medical Services Cadre. The last date to submit the registered online application is December 20, 2021, for interested candidates. The link for the registration/ re-registration & payment of the examination fee shall be available from November 12 to December 13.

Details of vacancies

  • Unreserved: 34
  • Socially and Economically Backward Classes or Communities: 12
  • Scheduled Castes: 16
  • Scheduled Tribes: 23

Age bar

The candidate must be between 21 and 32 years of age on the first day of January 2021.

There is a relaxation of five years for candidates belonging to the categories of Socially & Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Women and eligible Ex-Servicemen and 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (OH) candidates whose permanent disability is 40 per cent and more.

Persons with disabilities belonging to the SC, ST, and SEBC categories are eligible for an age relaxation benefit of fifteen (15) years.

Educational qualifications

  • The candidates must have an MBBS or equivalent degree from a medical college or medical institution recognised by the Medical Council of India.
  • The candidate is required to have a valid Registration Certificate under the Odisha Medical Registration Rules by 1965;
  • The candidate needs to have the required conversion certificates recognised by the Medical Council of India in case of possessing medical degrees from medical colleges abroad.

Examination Fee

Interested candidates have to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs. 500. However, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe of Odisha and Persons with Disability (whose permanent disability is 40% and more) are exempted from payment of this fee.

Interested candidates can apply online through the concerned website of the OPSC at opsc.gov.in.

The commission has further instructed candidates to go through detailed instructions available at the OPSC portal before filling up the online application form.

Candidates should also note that they can only apply through the online mode and applications sent through any other mode would not be accepted.
