OSSSC Postpones Recruitment Exams Due To Odisha Bandh Call By Congress Tomorrow

The preliminary examinations scheduled on all other dates vide Notice No. 1333/OSSSC dt. 17.06.2025 remains unaltered

BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has postponed the recruitment examinations for the posts of Sevak, Sevika and Tribal Language Teacher (TLT) scheduled for July 17 in view of the statewide bandh called by Congress.

“It is hereby informed that in view of the Odisha Bandh called by Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee on 17.07.2025, the Preliminary Examination for the posts of Sevak/ Sevika & Tribal Language Teacher (TLT) scheduled only on 17.07.2025 is hereby postponed until further notice,” the OSSSC said in a notification.

“However, Preliminary Examinations scheduled on all other dates vide Notice No. 1333/OSSSC dt. 17.06.2025 remains unaltered. Candidates are advised to visit the website of the Commission at regular intervals for further updates,” added the notification.

Congress has called for a statewide bandh on July 17 to protest the alleged harassment of Soumyashree Bisi, a 20-year-old student of Fakir Mohan Autonomous College in Balasore, who attempted self-immolation and succumbed to burn injuries while undergoing treatment at AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
