Over 32,000 Applicants Register On Delhi University Portal

New Delhi: More than 32,000 applicants have registered on the Delhi University (DU) admission portal for postgraduate courses, and over 4,400 candidates have registered for MPhil and PhD courses. The registration process that started on July 26 will end on August 21. According to data on the university portal, 32,700 applicants registered till 5 pm on Wednesday, while 4,462 had registered for MPhil and PhD programmes.

On the second virtual open day on Wednesday DU advised candidates to fill the registration forms since there are many sections in the forms, which cannot be edited once the form is submitted, EducationTimes reported.

Some of the courses include both the 50 per cent entrance-based seats and remaining merit-based seats. If the candidate is a graduate from DU in an Honours course, he/she will be eligible for the merit-based seats, it was revealed at the session. If the candidate is not from DU, he/she can only apply for the entrance-based exam. Should the candidate be a graduate from DU and not completed graduation from a non-Honours course, he/she will not be eligible for the merit-based process, it was said, the report added.

DU entrance test exams will be conducted by NTA and commence from September 26 and end on October 1.
