Pakistan-Based Cyber Group Hacks Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan’s Website

No official statement has yet been issued by the authorities regarding the incident

BHUBANESWAR: The official website of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAVS) has been hacked by a group which identified itself as the ‘Pakistan Cyber Force’.

This comes amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan after Operation Sindoor conducted in response to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which claimed lives of 26 tourists.

Since Wednesday, the site has been down, initially showing a defaced homepage with the message: “Hacked by Pakistan Cyber Force.” It remained completely inaccessible.

While the reason for targeting the site is yet to be ascertained, the OAVS officials are yet to issue any official statement on the incident.

Cyber experts have warned of growing risks to India’s digital infrastructure from foreign cyber-attacks in view of the tensions between India and Pakistan.

A handle on X, Pakistan Cyber Force, had earlier claimed that hackers gained access to sensitive data of the Military Engineer Services and the Manohar Parrikar Institute of Defence Studies and Analyses. It also tried to deface the website of Armoured Vehicle Nigam Limited, a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, the NDTV reported, quoting sources.
