Puducherry: The recruitment exams of the police department for the posts of constables, deck handlers, and radio technicians have been postponed, reported Hindustan Times.
An official press release was issued on Saturday to announce the postponement of the standard test, physical efficiency test and the written examination, which were earlier set to be held in the first week of November.
Following complaints regarding recruitment and proposed changes in the current digital biometric process, Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi on Friday asked Chief Secretary Ashwani Kumar to halt the recruitment process.
