Puducherry: Students Of Classes I-IX Declared ‘All Pass’

Puducherry: Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, Tamilisai Soundararajan cleared a proposal on Thursday to declare ‘all pass’ for the students of classes I to IX this academic year in the Union Territory.

According to the guidelines of the Tamil Nadu Board, the students of classes X and XI in Puducherry and Karaikal will be declared ‘all pass’.

Similarly, Class X and XI students in Mahe and Yanam regions would get promotion, according to the guidelines of the Boards of Education in Kerala and Andhra Pradesh respectively, a Raj Nivas release said.

All schools would be functional till March 31 for classes I to IX for five days a week with Saturdays and Sundays being holidays.

The schools will have the summer vacation from April 1. Classes for 10th, 11th and 12th standard students would be held as per the examination schedules of the respective state boards.

The Lt Governor approved ₹29.65 crores as monthly assistance for beneficiaries of Old Age pension and destitute.
