New Delhi: Twenty-one Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) of the Indian Railways are set to begin their mega recruitment drive with the first of the three-phase exams beginning on Tuesday, December 15. This drive is in order to fill 1.4 lakh vacancies, reported India Today.
According to the official notification, the first phase for Isolated and Ministerial categories will be held from December 15 to 18, followed by NTPC categories from December 28 till March 2021 (tentative), and the third phase for Level 1 will be from April (tentative) to June 2021.
Candidates should note that they will be individually informed of exam details for Isolated and Ministerial categories through RRB’s official website link, email and SMS, and the admit card will be available for download four days prior to the exam.
In view of the pandemic, RRBs have prepared extensive guidelines for safe conduction of exams, including social distancing, compulsory masks, sanitisers, only two shifts etc.
According to news agency ANI, Indian Railways has stated that RRBs will accommodate candidates by “running special exam trains to cater to the travel requirements of the candidates,” with female and PwD candidates being accommodated within their home states while having support from the local administration.
Adding that the latest instructions will be followed for safety, Indian Railways has also stated that candidates with high temperatures will not be allowed inside the exam venue, and will be intimated of the re-scheduled exams subsequently.
