Registration For TG Polycet 2025 Begins, Check The Details
The last date for submitting the application forms without late fee is April 19; examination is scheduled to be conducted on May 13
HYDERABAD: The Telangana State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET) has started the registration process for the Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (POLYCET) 2025.
Candidates can register themselves on the official website, polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in. The entrance test will be held on May 13 and the results will be announced 12 days later.
The registration fee of TGPOLYCET is Rs 500 while the same for the candidates belonging to Sc and ST category is Rs 250. The last date for submission of application forms is April 19. However, application forms can be submitted with a late fee of Rs 100 or Rs 300 until April 21 and April 23 respectively.

Reservation for locals
In a new order, the Telangana government has made it clear that about 85% of the total seats will be reserved for Telangana locals in the Osmania University area from 2025-26 academic year. The remaining 15% of the seats are unreserved, open to all candidates declared as locals in the area.
Candidates or their parents who have lived in Telangana for 10 years, excluding study or employment outside the state, are eligible for these seats. This new rule marks the conclusion of the common admission process between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh under the A.P. Reorganisation Act 2014.
The Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (POLYCET) 2024 is conducted for candidates seeking admission to diploma courses in engineering, non-engineering, and technology programmes offered by government, aided and private institutes in Telangana.
The POLYCET-2024 also serves as the entrance test for diploma programmes in agriculture at Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU), horticulture at Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (SKLTSHU), animal husbandry and fisheries at PV Narasimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University (PVNRTVU).
