RIE Bhubaneswar Discusses Action Plans For Collaborative Research With Its MoU Institutions
The MoU partners also deliberate upon capacity building, development of materials, extension activities and priority areas of the NEP 2020
BHUBANESWAR: The Regional Institute of Education, Bhubaneswar, in meeting with its MoU institutions on December 30, discussed plan of actions for collaborative research, capacity building, development of materials and extension activities as per National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The RIE has signed MoUs with Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University; Nalini Devi Women’s College of Teacher Education, Bhubaneswar; Naba Krishna Choudhury College of Teacher Education, Angul, Odisha; Government B.Ed. Training College, Kalinga, Kandhamal, Odisha; Shri Agrasen Snatkottar Shiksha Mahavidyalaya, Jandoli, Jaipur, Rajasthan; and Institute for Education, Sareikela, Jharkhand.
The institution such as IISER, Berhampur; Guru Ghasidas Viswvidyalaya, Bilaspur; and Tagore Government College of Teacher Education, Port Blair have also evinced interest in collaborations.
Presiding over the meeting organised in hybrid mode, RIE Bhubaneswar Principal Prof. P.C. Agarwal highlighted the importance of collaborative research in the area of experiential learning, ICT integration, skill development and innovations in pre-service teacher education as well as continuous professional development programmes.
He stressed the need for sharing of the best practices among the collaborative institutions for enhancing quality of teacher education and school education. He proposed the role of RIE Bhubaneswar to orient the faculty and students of collaborative institutions in the area of NEP 2020, NCFSE 2023.
Heads of the MoU institutions suggested collaborative endeavours in the area of field engagement activities and faculty development programmes on the priority areas of the NEP 2020 i.e. multidisciplinary education, ITEP, Inclusive Education, examination reforms and experiential learning including toy-based pedagogy and art integrated education.
Prof. H.K.Senapaty, Chairman of MoU Committee of RIE Bhubaneswar, suggested undertaking collaborative research in the area of pedagogy of school subjects and generic themes on school education.
The members of the MoU Committee, RIE Bhubaneswar participated in the discussion of the programme coordinated by Prof. Laxmidhar Behera, head of department of education of the Institute.
