Bhubaneswar: City-based SAI International School has decided to set foot outside Odisha, managing as many as 25-30 schools in various states over the next five years.
The schools will run under the SAI International brand and will be affiliated to CBSE. The objective is to emulate the success story of SAI International in other states through its school management method.
“We will take up existing schools in different states as well as new schools and manage them under our brand,” SAI International School founder, Bijaya Kumar Sahoo told Odisha Bytes in an interaction.
This model was brought to India by Pearson Education and they were managing it successfully in about 100 schools, he pointed out.
“We want to take the success story of SAI International to the schools we would be managing, whether it is through mentoring or hand-holding exercise, proper curriculum delivery or appointments. Through our school management services, we would provide services of managing the complete school,” he underlined.
The SAI International School in Bhubaneswar was set up about a decade back and over the years, it has succeeded in morphing itself into a premier school in the city. EducationWorld has ranked it as the third-best school in the country and the best in Odisha. Three of its students took admission in IIT Bombay after securing ranks among the top 100 in the JEE-Advance exam last year. Besides, about 30 of the school’s students have taken up higher studies abroad.
Expansion of SAI Angan Playschool:
Stating that early school education in Odisha is still neglected, Sahoo said the SAI Angan Playschool model will be spread across the state, setting an SAI Angan in different places.
“We want to create a playschool brand. SAI Aagan is an extremely successful model. So we will try to take it across the state,” he said.
