SAI International School’s Annual Mega Fest UNWIND 2019 Held With Pomp & Show

The event was attended by more than 25,000 people, including students and their parents

 

The SAI International School held its Annual Mega Fest “UNWIND 2019”at Bhubaneswar today with colourful performances, games and rides and delectable food.

The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, R Balakrishnan (IAS), Chief Advisor, Chief Minister’s Office, Government of Odisha and Guest of Honour, Chithra Arumugam (IAS), Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Department of School and Mass Education, Government of Odisha, in presence of Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, Founder, SAI International Education Group and Advisor, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan, Dr Silpi Sahoo, Vice Chairperson, SAI International Education Group and Shri Nilakantha Panigrahi, Senior Principal, SAI International School.

The Chief Guest, R Balakrishnan, while addressing the gathering said that education system should have room for the needs and aspirations of each child and advised the students to walk the extra mile to reach excellence in life and not be contented with success.

Chithra Arumugam, the Guest of Honour, advised the students to have courage to be true to their own self and stay connected with their inner self. Speaking about the event, she said that ‘Learn’ stands for constructing knowledge to communicate, ‘Lead’ indicates to go and shine wherever one is and ‘Serve’ means giving back to the world, which is the best part of a person.

Dr Sahoo outlined the objective of “UNWIND” and shared that it gives the students an opportunity to learn through an event, which would instill in them the essential qualities of a leader, helping them beyond their school years.

The event was attended by more than 25,000 people, including students and their parents. ‘The Holistic Parenting Award’ was presented to the parents of State Topper, Commerce, Khusi Gupta. The winners of Business Model Competition 2019 were also awarded on the occasion.

The guests got to enjoy many exciting games and rides, a wide array of cuisines and lively musical performances at the event.

As part of the Social Connect Activities, Students of Swami Bichitrananda Kalyan Ashram, Cuttack, an old orphanage, visited the event along with their teachers. They gave a brilliant dance performance and also enjoyed playing various games.

The SAI International School organises the Mega Fest every year to foster unity and brotherhood, develop compassion, infuse traits of a future leader in the students and also to let them enjoy a day of fun activities.
