New Delhi: The Department of School Education, Government of India, is contemplating preparing guides for the Class X students of government and aided schools — who are slow learners in the class — through the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT).
“To fill the education gap between the government and aided school students, SCERT designed bridge course materials and distributed them to the schools. Teachers taught the lessons using the materials and students learnt previous class lessons from the materials. As a result, they continue their studies in the present class without any difficulties,” a district official was quoted as saying by The New Indian Express.
Now, the department has decided to prepare a guide with questions along with simplified answers for all subjects. This is aimed at helping students clear the Class X public examination at ease. “Discussions are on to firm this up soon,” SCERT officials told the newspaper.
“Due to closing of schools for nearly 18 months, students have been affected. To bring them back on track, we have paid special attention to their studies. For this, we conduct special classes, tests, etc for them,” a teacher in a city-based aided school, T Arulanandham was quoted as saying by the daily.
