SOA Pro-VC Neeta Mohanty Awarded Royal College Of Physicians & Surgeons Glasgow Fellowship

Prof. Mohanty, who served as Dean of SOA’s Institute of Dental Sciences for more than a decade, exemplified transformative leadership in oral health and dental education.

BHUBANESWAR: Prof. (Dr) Neeta Mohanty, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research Collaboration) of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University, has been awarded the prestigious Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow Fellowship.

Glasgow’s 425-year-old Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, a global community of healthcare professionals committed to improving patient care through education and innovation, honoured Prof. Mohanty in recognition of her outstanding contribution in the field of dental education, research, innovation and public health.

Prof. Mohanty, who served as Dean of SOA’s Institute of Dental Sciences (IDS) for more than a decade, exemplified transformative leadership in oral health and dental education.

Her academic career, spanning 28 years, has been dedicated to shaping future dental professionals with a commitment to impactful research and institutional governance.

Prof. Mohanty has over 100 peer-reviewed publications, including in internationally-acclaimed journals, books and book chapters, granted United States and Indian patents backed by government grants.

Director of Cochrane India Affiliate Centre at IDS, Prof. Mohanty is also founder of Orease Oral Care Solutions Private Limited, a start-up focused on innovative solutions in oral care.

In 2018, Prof. Mohanty was conferred fellowship by the Academy of Dentistry International, USA, in recognition of her contributions to the advancement of dentistry worldwide.

She is also the recipient of numerous other awards, including the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam National Award, Best Dental Administrator Award and Times Power Woman Award.
