SSC CHSL 2025 candidates can choose preferred exam city, date, and shift, with greater flexibility and convenience while planning their exams.
NEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced a new feature allowing candidates appearing for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Exam 2025 to select their preferred exam city, date, and shift. The Tier 1 exam is scheduled to begin on November 12, 2025.
This initiative introduces a candidate-friendly self-slot selection facility, giving aspirants more flexibility in planning their examination.
How to select Exam Slot
Registered candidates will need to log in to the SSC website between October 22 and October 28, 2025, to select their preferred slots
Candidates can choose from the three cities mentioned during their application process and select a convenient date and shift for their exam.
Candidates opting for regional languages should note that the availability of certain dates and shifts may be limited.
The SSC has clarified that if a candidate’s preferred slots are already filled, it will assign an available slot on a best-effort basis. However, there is no guarantee that candidates will get their first-choice date or shift.
Candidates should carefully choose their slots, as no changes will be allowed after submission.
Candidates must exercise their option for date, city, and shift within the prescribed window. SSC has warned that candidates who fail to do so will be considered as not intending to appear for the examination.
