New Delhi: Applications have been invited by the Territorial Army from employed candidates for officer posts. The registration for the same will commence on July 20.
The application forms are accessible on jointerritorialarmy.gov.in and will remain accessible till August 19. Graduates between 18-42 years of age are eligible for the positions.
“Applications are invited from gainfully employed young citizens for an opportunity of donning the uniform and serving the nation as Territorial Army Officers (Non Departmental), based on the concept of enabling motivated young citizens to serve in a military environment without having to sacrifice their primary professions. You can serve the nation in two capacities – as a civilian and as a soldier. No other option allows you such an expanse of experiences,” said the Territorial Army.
“Serving member of the Regular Army/ Navy/ Air Force/ Police/ GREF/ Para Military and like forces are not eligible,” the organisation added.
The Territorial Army will conduct a written test on September 26 to shortlist candidates for the interview process.
Following selection, candidates will undergo a month’s basic training in the first year of commission and two months annual training camp every year including the first year. A Post Commissioning training of three months will also be there within the first two years at OTA, Chennai.
