HYDERABAD: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the UGC NET 2024 re-examination results on October 17. Around 6.84 lakh candidates appeared for the re-examination, when compared to 9.08 lakh who wrote the test in June. The NTA reported 4.37 lakh absentees of 11.21 lakh registered candidates.
Candidates who have appeared for the exam can check their results from the official website by entering their login credentials such as date of birth and roll number on the official website.

Of the total 11,21,225 candidates who registered for the exam, 6,84,224 appeared for the test. As for the results, 4,970 candidates qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), 53,694 qualified for Assistant Professor positions, and 1,12,070 candidates qualified for PhD admissions, said a notice issued by the UGC.

The June exam, which registered 81% attendance, was cancelled due to concerns over integrity of the process. However, the re-test was held in only in online mode August-September.
The re-exams were conducted over several days: August 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, 29, 30, and September 2, 3, 4, and 5. Before releasing the final results, the NTA shared provisional and final answer keys, dropping certain questions from the final version and awarding full marks to candidates who attempted those questions.
