HYDERABAD: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the results for the UGC NET December 2024 examination.
Candidates who have written the exam can check their results on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The candidates need to enter their login credentials to view the results.
Of 8,49,166 registered candidates, 6,49,490 appeared for the examination and 5,158 candidates have qualified for both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions.
Additionally, 48,161 candidates have qualified for Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D. programmes, while 1,14,445 candidates have qualified for Ph.D. only, said a notification issued by the UGC.

The exam was held in computer-based test (CBT) mode for 85 subjects over 9 days, with 16 shifts at 558 exam centres in 266 cities. The exam was held on January 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 16, 21, and 27, 2025.

Step 1: Visit the official website of UGC NET, ugcnet.nta.ac.in
Step 2: Click on the UGC NET Result link
Step 3: You will be redirected to a new page
Step 4: Enter your login credentials and click Submit
Step 5: Your scorecard will be displayed on the screen
Step 6: Download and take a hard copy of the scorecard for reference

The NTA conducts the UGC-NET exam on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC). This test determines whether the candidates are eligible for roles as Assistant Professors or for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions in Indian universities and colleges.
