UGC NET June 2024 Exam Rescheduled For Sri Janmashtami Celebrations: Check The New Date

The examination, slated for August 26, 2024, will now be held on August 27, 2024, while the rest of the schedule remains unchanged, says the National Testing Agency

HYDERABAD: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has rescheduled one of the UGC-NET June 2024 examinations scheduled for August 26, 2024 to the next day. The examination, slated for August 26, 2024, will now be held on August 27, 2024.

The examination has been rescheduled on account of Shri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations. “On account of Shri Krishna Janmashtami on 26th August 2024, National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to reschedule the Examination of 26th August 2024. The exam scheduled for August 26, 2024 will be held on August 27, 2024,” said a notification issued by the NTA on August 13, 2024.

The rest of the schedule will remain the same as per the public notice issued on August 2, 2024.

The NTA will conduct the UGC NET exams in the Computer Based Mode (CBT) from August 21 to September 4, 2024. The exams will be held for 83 subjects at different cities across the country.

The June session of the UGC NET, initially scheduled for June 18, was cancelled in view of the paper leak allegations. However, investigations confirmed that there was no leak.

Meanwhile, the NTA has made available the advance intimation for allotment of examination city for the UGC NET June 2024 to be conducted on August 21, 22 and 23, 2024. (Check Here).

Candidates can check and download their examination city intimation slip of UGC NET June 2024 using their application numbers and date of birth from the website.

This intimation slip, released on August 12, 2024, is intended to give candidates advance notice of the city where their examination centre is located. This intimation slip is not admit card. The admit card, which will be issued separately, will include detailed instructions and additional information necessary for the examination day, the NTA said.
