Universities, Colleges Asked To Encourage Participation In Global FinTech Event

New Delhi: The universities and colleges have been asked by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to encourage students to take part in the global FinTech event “Infinity Forum” scheduled for December 3 and 4.

The International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) is organising the event which will be held in virtual mode.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the event on December 3, the UGC informed the VCs and college principals via the letter. The United Kingdom, Indonesia and South Africa are participating in the event as partner countries in the event.

“IFSCA is offering an opportunity to students to develop and submit Call for Action papers on (i) Policy recommendations emanating out of various sessions at the Infinity Forum and (ii) suggestions on themes and sub-themes for discussion at Infinity Forum 2022,” the higher education regulatory body said via the letter.

Students are allowed to register till November 30. The Call for Action papers should be sent latest by December 18.
