The Uttar Pradesh government has issued new guidelines regarding the beginning of the academic session in state universities.
According to an official statement, for under-graduate courses, the admission process will begin in September whereas the classes for the first year under-graduate students will start on October 1. On the other hand, classes for all post-graduate courses will begin on November 1. However, online classes will begin on August 4 for all under-graduate students other than those in the first year.
However, the admission procedure for both undergraduate and postgraduate students will be carried online and should be completed by September 15 and October 31, respectively.
According to the All India Radio, a minimum of 45 days of online studying will be ensured after which the students can be called for physical classes, adhering to social distancing norms. The examination for 2020-2021 academic session for the universities is scheduled in March-April next year.
