UPSC Announces IFS Final Results, Check The Details  

The UPSC has recommended 143 candidates for appointment to posts in the Indian Forest Service

NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final results for the Indian Forest Service Examination 2024 held from November 24 to December 1, 2024.

“Following the written exams and the personality test interviews conducted from April 21 to May 2, 2025, a total of 143 candidates have been recommended for appointment to posts in the Indian Forest Service,” a notification issued by the UPSC said.

The merit list includes 40 candidates belonging to general category, including four PwBD candidates; 19 of EWS category, 50 belonging to OBC category, including one PwBD candidate; 23 SC aspirants and 11 belonging to ST category.

However, two vacancies for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) have been carried forward due to the unavailability of qualified candidates.

The result of seven candidates has been withheld.

The government has reported a total of 150 vacancies for this recruitment cycle, including nine reserved for PwBD candidates.

Step 3: Check the name and roll number in the PDF file

The appointment process will commence following verification of eligibility requirements. Additionally, the candidature of 51 recommended candidates remains provisional.

The candidature of 51 recommended candidates is provisional, the UPSC said.

The UPSC has a ‘Facilitation Counter’ near Examination Hall Building in its campus.

Candidates may obtain any information regarding their examination and recruitments on working days between 10 am and 5 pm in person or by dialling the phone numbers 011-23385271 / 23381125.

The result will also be available on Commission’s website, i.e., www.upsc.gov.in. However, marks of candidates shall be made available on the Commission’s website within 15 days from the date of declaration of result.
